Course Description
The Senior Level course at Svara Sethu Learning Center is designed for students who are ready to advance into deeper and more refined aspects of Carnatic music.
This level focuses on strengthening musical maturity, voice control, and expressive ability. Students are trained in advanced compositions and are introduced to more complex rhythmic and melodic structures. The course emphasizes both technical excellence and artistic expression, enabling students to develop confidence in performance.
Students will work on advanced Alankaras and Geethes to refine their fundamentals, followed by structured compositions such as Attatala Varnam, Javali, and Thillana. Advanced Krithis are taught with a focus on meaning, expression, and presentation.
A key highlight of this course is the introduction to improvisation techniques such as Sankshiptha Alapane and Kalpana Svaras, which help students develop creativity and deeper understanding of ragas. Continuous focus is given to essential musical techniques like Gamaka, enhancing the overall quality of singing.
With 12 months of structured learning and practice, students gain the ability to perform with confidence, clarity, and a deeper connection to music.
